Chocolate pearls are extremely rare. They can only be obtained from Indian pearl, commonly known as black lipped oyster.
This species is found in tropical Indo-Pacific coral reefs. So finding a set for this project required a lot of commitment. Ultimately, I was able to purchase the appropriate kit from a supplier in Jaipur, India.
The necklace that I designed for Mr. Michael contains in the central part Baltic amber with a fanciful shape and a buttery color. It is completed with 6 chocolate pearls. All the stones are washed by stylized foaming waves, reminiscent of two different seas that combine their priceless goods into one composition.
