Necklace with rainbow topaz,

Autor: Piotr Zieliński

Many people associate the word necklace with a pendant on a chain. However, the word has a deeper meaning. In the Middle Ages, the necklace was the top of the armour to protect the neck, so it wasn't a small, trivial thing. Although the Middle Ages are behind us, the battle is still going on. Not with swords and axes, but with suggestions, glances and influences. It is very important to feel safe. How can a woman feel confident in any situation?

A real necklace is a complex decorative form consisting of intricately intertwined links. Depending on the design, they may converge to the main stone in the centre. Unlike a ring, which usually has one main stone and a tiny accent stone, a necklace usually requires a set of stones. They should be of the same tone and saturation so that they constitute a coherent set. The key is to create a feeling of freedom in the person for whom I am making the jewellery. The product should be flexible and organic, but at the same time it should not twist or tangle.

In the necklace below, the 19-carat rainbow topaz from Brazil takes centre stage. Under the main bezel there is a natural canary zircon. The composition is completed by Malay, colour-changing garnets with a total weight of 11 ct, set in 18k green gold.
